Your duties

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Organisation, optimisation and monitoring of the group-wide monthly reporting process
  • Reconciliation and accounting of group and intercompany transactions in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliation statements and presentation of monthly 
    (sub-group) results in collaboration with the Controlling department
  • Proactive communication and coordination with internal stakeholders within the Group and with external partners (e.g. auditors or service providers)
  • Further development of processes and standards in the Group Accounting department to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Supporting departmental management with (strategic) projects and special topics, as well as taking independent responsibility for (sub-)projects
  • Providing technical guidance to colleagues, including knowledge transfer

Your profile

  • Commercial apprenticeship with further training as a chartered accountant, or a university degree in a related field
  • Well-founded knowledge of group accounting and at least 7 years of relevant professional experience dealing with group-level issues in an international environment
  • Proven experience in managing (sub-)projects, as well as experience in implementing international standard processes and manuals, would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, as well as experience with SAP and LucaNet
  • Knowledge of IFRS is required
  • A proactive, highly independent approach to work, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Excellent German and English skills; knowledge of a further foreign language would be an advantage
